The main aim of my introduction is to talk about how advertisements surround us constantly, as I will be explaining the effects they have on our society later on in my essay, it is important to set the scene. I do not want the introduction to be too lengthy as it is only to introduce the themes I will be discussing within the document. For example I plan to:

- Discuss my hypothesis
- Address the question
- Consumerism

This is obviously my main area to discuss all the research and concepts I will be including in detail. Making points and evaluating and explaining them is important, I also want to avoid an informal discourse and try and keep this academic. Here is a rough overview of the points I will be making:
